A Witch on Stony Brook Harbor
A short video made from photographs taken by a stranger.
That time one October when I was flying solo and a random guy started documenting my flight path. Guess he’d never seen a witch on the water before…
I don’t know him. I was simply paddling Stony Brook Harbor, dressed as appropriately for October — witch hat, tulle and all — when I realized someone on shore was taking photographs.
He was kind enough to get them to me afterward, leaving me with a view of that afternoon I never could have captured from my own board.
There’s something about this place in the fall — the quiet, the light, the reflections — that always feels a little magical.
From the Studio | A Little October Energy
October has a way of finding its way into the things I make, too. Darker stones, crescent forms, and pieces that feel a little like talismans.
The Natural Pyrite Necklace seems particularly at home this time of year. A golden crescent cradling a cluster of raw pyrite — earthy, imperfect, and just a little mysterious.
Not necessarily made for witch season, but certainly suited to it.
From the studio, through the stories.
This space is an open journal of sorts—where stories, symbols, and small moments gather. Some entries trace the creative process, others reflect on inspiration found in nature, history, or daily life. All are woven with the same intent: to offer a glimpse behind the relics and the meanings they carry.
