Wandering Avalon Park’s New Coastal Corridor: A Family Stroll, A Moment to Breathe
There’s something quietly magical about Avalon Park & Preserve—especially in the stillness of early spring. On this particular afternoon, my family and I wandered the newly opened Coastal Corridor, a winding trail that leads you along the edge of the harbor, beneath whispering trees and beside stretches of marshland that feel untouched by time.
We didn't go with any particular destination in mind. Just a slow meander. The kind of walk where time loosens its grip a little.
There were moments when we didn’t say a word—just listened. To the wind rustling the reeds. To the shorebirds calling in the distance. To our own feet crunching softly over gravel.
What I love about Avalon is how it holds space. For reflection. For reconnection. For simply being. It's the kind of place that gently reminds you that nature isn’t something separate—it’s a part of you.
