Carpe Diem (Even if you’re still in pajamas)
"Seize the Day."
We see it stamped on mugs, stitched on pillows, etched in metal (guilty), and shouted from motivational podcasts everywhere.
But what does it actually mean?
To make the most of the day?
To strive for greatness or cross off every task on your never-ending to-do list?
To succeed in some perfect, idealized way?
…Maybe. But let’s be real — we’re not machines.
We can’t be at 100% one hundred percent of the time. We'd burn out faster than a tealight candle.
So here’s what Carpe Diem means to me:
Do your best — whatever “your best” looks like today.
Some days that means creating a beautiful new piece in the studio.
Other days, it means getting out of the house on time (or remembering to drink water).
Your “best” will look different every day — and that’s more than okay. It’s honest. It’s human. It’s enough.
So go ahead — seize the day, your way.
Even if it’s in yesterday’s hoodie.
From the studio, through the stories.
This space is an open journal of sorts—where stories, symbols, and small moments gather. Some entries trace the creative process, others reflect on inspiration found in nature, history, or daily life. All are woven with the same intent: to offer a glimpse behind the relics and the meanings they carry.
