In Serqet’s Shadow: Forging the Zodiac Collection

♏ Scorpio Season Has Begun

I am Serqet, mistress of heaven and lady of all the gods. I have come before you, O King’s Great Wife, Mistress of the Two Lands, Lady of Upper and Lower Egypt, Nefertari, Beloved of Mut, Justified Before Osiris Who Resides in Abtu (Abydos), and I have accorded you a place in the sacred land, so that you may appear gloriously in heaven like Ra.
— Inscription in the Tomb of Nefertari, Serqet speaking to Nefertari

The Season of Depth and Transformation

Scorpio season always seems to arrive with a sense of gravity — a pull toward introspection, alchemy, and transformation. Like the serpent goddess Serqet, guardian of thresholds and renewer of life, this time asks us to shed, to heal, and to reclaim our power.

In the studio, that energy has found its way into metal and flame — small transformations forged by hand. Hammered textures, patterns of light through drilled constellations, and stones that seem to hold their own pulse of magic.

Behind the Bench

These pieces began as raw brass sheets, shaped and pierced to echo the energy of each sign. The Scorpio ring — first to emerge from the bench — carries the marks of both strength and mystery: hand-hammered texture, subtle constellation holes, and a single glowing stone at its center.

Each zodiac piece will have its own quiet symbolism — a story in metal and light — yet all will connect through this series’ shared rhythm: handmade, intentional, and deeply personal.

The Zodiac Collection

This collection has been unfolding slowly, piece by piece, between moments of solder and soul. I’m calling it The Zodiac Collection — twelve signs, each one rendered as a small celestial relic.

The first designs (Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Capricorn) are in progress now, with the full collection set to launch by mid-November. As always, each piece will be made to order, hand-stamped and shaped one at a time — a personal talisman rather than a mass-produced adornment.

If you’ve ever felt pulled to wear your story in metal — this is the season for it.

From the studio, through the stories.

This space is an open journal of sorts—where stories, symbols, and small moments gather. Some entries trace the creative process, others reflect on inspiration found in nature, history, or daily life. All are woven with the same intent: to offer a glimpse behind the relics and the meanings they carry.
